Eevia received a new order from a Finnish customer for a bilberry juice powder product. The product is Bilberry Juice Powder Organic, which is an unstandardized organically certified bilberry juice powder. The product is made from side streams of Eevia's extract production. It is one of the first major orders for this product. Eevia has the product in stock.

The Finnish customer is a local contract manufacturer that serves Finnish and European brand holders for dietary supplements. The customer is particularly focused on organically certified natural products. Half of the order of kEUR 23 is confirmed and the other half is a blanket order for delivery later in 2024. The orders are expected to be followed by further repeat orders in the future.

Eevia has worked during 2023 to valorize side stream products, producing pilot products and searching for customers. The potential for new revenue streams from these materials is significant because the volume output of these during production is high. As an example, the production of kEUR 50 worth of berry extract may yield an extra kEUR 35 in side-stream revenues if Eevia can sell these at the prices embedded in these two orders. There are some costs in finalizing (evaporation, drying, packaging) these products, but successful valorization will also improve the absolute margin and total revenue, and possibly also the relative margin, per production batch.
