Instalco company wins contract at new construction of slaughterhouse
The Instalco company, Haug og Ruud VVS AS has signed an agreement as the general contractor for the heating, plumbing, ventilation, electrical and automation installations at a new slaughterhouse in Otta, north of Lillehammer, for Gudbrandsdal Slakteri AS. Another Instalco subsidiary, Istech AS, will also be involved in the assignment and the order value for Instalco is approximately NOK 95 million.
“We are delighted to be a part of this project, which is important to the entire region. It will generate many new jobs, as well as opportunities for growth in both the business and farming communities of Gudbrandsdalen. This will be the most modern slaughterhouse in all of Norway,” says Sigbjörn Dalseghagen, CEO at Haug og Ruud VVS.
As contractor for this assignment, Haug og Ruud will be responsible for the heating, plumbing, ventilation, electrical and automation installations. The scope and complexity of the installations is quite extensive, particularly the heating, cooling and freezer systems, as well as the plumbing, pump, air compression, hygiene and other slaughterhouse systems. It will be run as a partnering project with the client, Gudbrandsdal Slakteri AS.
“We were able to propose a comprehensive solution to the customer, involving specialist expertise in several disciplines. Another decisive advantage was the added security of having Instalco behind it all as the parent company,” says Sigbjörn Dalseghagen.
The project is already underway and will be completed during 2025.
