Founded in 1989, Assistive Innovations BV is part of a group that was the world's first manufacturer of rehabilitation robots, at that time called Manus. In addition to robotics, Assistive Innovations manufactures, sells and customizes arm support systems and robots that help impaired people with severe upper limb impairments. The grip-strengthening glove, Carbonhand, complements the existing product range and creates a complete range of assistive devices aimed at people with upper limb disabilities.

Bioservo has already conducted product and sales training with Carbonhand on site at Assistive Innovations together with representatives from Roessingh Research and Development (RRD) who conducted the clinical studies in the Netherlands. Assistive Innovations has also had the first demonstration units delivered in order to start the sales work.
