Wihlborgs lets 6,300 m² outside Copenhagen
EMRI is a 52-year-old Danish electronics company that provides steering control systems for various kinds of large ships. The company has signed a lease for 3,300 square metres at Meterbuen.
Grønbech delivers and maintains sustainable solutions within energy, water and wastewater, and industry as well as steel and metal. While the company’s history dates back to 1828, Meterbuen 27 (3,000 m²) will only be their fourth headquarters.
Since the property previously housed essentially a single tenant, who is moving within Wihlborgs’ portfolio, a multi-stage renovation is now underway with new installations, energy improvements and new surfaces.
“We are in a strong growth phase in our research and development activities as well as in production. We look forward to providing our employees with better premises and to getting an additional boost to operations,” says Morten Novak Bro, CEO of EMRI A/S.
“We’re not a company that relocates from one day to the next, which is why we’re investing in a long-term partnership with Wihlborgs. We’re now moving some distance outside the city centre, which will make the commute easier for many of our employees,” says John Mathiesen, CEO of Grønbech.
“We look forward to welcoming EMRI and Grønbech to Meterbuen 27, which meets their needs for spacious, flexible and energy-efficient premises. The property is one of the most popular business districts in Skovlunde, just a short distance away from the motorway network, good bus connections and only 1.5 kilometres to Skovlunde station,” Søren Kempf Holm, CEO of Wihlborgs A/S.
“The development of Meterbuen 27 shows how we can provide our tenants with the opportunity to move within our portfolio as their needs change as well as how we can convert a property and meet growing demand from the market. In this case, it’s demand for light storage and logistics combined with offices in an attractive location,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
