“The year 2024 has, in several respects, challenged the sustainability agenda due to global developments. However, our ambition remains steadfast—we are long-term in our strategy and continue to advocate for a climate transition aligned with the Paris Agreement and a nature-positive development,” says Pia Gisgård, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Governance at Swedbank Robur.

Despite that climate and nature issues facing difficulties in gaining prominence on the global agenda, the report indicates that Swedbank Robur is well on track to meet its established sub targets:

• Ensuring that combined fund capital is managed in alignment with the Paris Agreement by 2025.
• Halving emissions of the combined fund capital by 2030.
• Increasing investments in companies that set net-zero targets according to the Science Based Targets initiative, aiming for 60% of managed capital to be invested in such companies by 2030.
• Engaging in active dialogue with companies in sectors with significant impact, which today account for 70% of our current emissions, aiming to include more sectors over time.

Throughout the year, Swedbank Robur has also analysed the funds' impact on biodiversity and adopted new nature-related goals.

Climate change and biodiversity loss are not peripheral issues for us—they are central to sustainable and sound investments, and we remain firmly committed to this conviction,” says Pia Gisgård.

The Climate and Nature Report 2024 summarises and presents the company's work and progress towards its overarching climate goals: managing all fund capital in alignment with the Paris Agreement by 2025 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 at the latest, adjusted as of 20 May 2025, from 2040 to 2050 at the latest.
