The Swedish Competition Authority approves Storytel Group's acquisition of Bokfabriken

The Swedish Competition Authority has announced that it approves Storytel Group's acquisition of Bokfabriken and that there are therefore no obstacles to completing the deal.

On January 31, 2025 Storytel Group acquired a majority stake of 70 percent in Bokfabriken, one of Sweden’s largest general publishing publishers. After dialogue with the Swedish Competition Authority in February, Storytel Group decided to voluntarily give the authority the opportunity to review the transaction, even though there was no obligation to do so.

Storytel Group now welcomes Bokfabriken as a full part of the Group and looks forward to continuing to spread strong stories together.
