Johannes Larcher to step down as CEO of Storytel Group

Storytel Group today announced that Johannes Larcher will step down as CEO during the fall of 2024. The Board of Directors will initiate the search for a new CEO immediately.

Hans Holger Albrecht, Chairman of the Board, says: ‘Johannes Larcher has led a highly successful transformation of the Company and leaves Storytel in a very strong position and well equipped for the future. We thank Johannes Larcher for all his contributions to Storytel and wish him the best for the future.’

Johannes Larcher, CEO of Storytel says: ‘I am honored to have led Storytel over the last two years and am proud of the team and the substantial progress we have delivered. Storytel today stands as a growing, profitable and innovative market leader in the audiobook and publishing sector, and I look forward to continuing to actively run the business until I transition my responsibilities to my successor. As I return to the United States, I will enthusiastically cheer on Storytel and its future successes from the sidelines.’
