ETP (Exchange-Traded Products) is a collective name for securitized derivatives listed for trade on a marketplace. On June 28, 2024, Spotlight Stock Market started trade in ETPs with the two first instruments being tracker certificates for Core (CORE) and HBAR (Hedera). Thus, the NEAR Protocol ETP is the third instrument of its kind listed on Spotlight Stock Market. All these instruments are issued by Valour Inc.

NEAR Protocol, similar to Core, is an L1-blockchain similar to Bitcoin or Etherum. The blockchain is split into smaller parts in order to allow parallel transactions, resulting in up to 4 000 simultaneous transacting able to be processed every second. The blockchain token, NEAR, is used to pay for transaction fees and reward developers. When the NEAR network was launched in 2020, one billion tokens were available and since then, 5 percent new tokens are issued every year as rewards.
