SinterCast continues record series production
• July-August production up 18%; January-August production up 13%
• Positive outlook for further growth in 2022 and beyond
[Stockholm, 19 September 2022] – Following record production in the second quarter, series production remained strong throughout the summer period. Annualised series production in July finished at 3.6 million Engine Equivalents providing a 20% increase compared to July 2021. August finished at 3.7 million Engine Equivalents, providing a 16% year-on-year increase. The July and August 2022 volumes both represent new records for those months.
“Year-to-date, the annualised series production of 3.5 million Engine Equivalents is 13% above the January-August 2021 period. The year-to-date production is also 6% above the pre-Covid volume set during January-August 2019, showing that the Covid impact is well behind us” said Dr. Steve Dawson, President & CEO of SinterCast. “With strong pent-up demand across the board and the start of new commercial vehicle programmes at Scania and FAW, we achieved quarterly production records in the first and second quarters of 2022. Now, the strong performance in July and August provides a foundation for record production again in the third quarter. We maintain our goals of reaching the four million Engine Equivalent milestone before the end of this year and reaching the monthly five million Engine Equivalent milestone in 2024, continuing our positive outlook and our longstanding delivery of double-digit CAGR.”
