[Stockholm, 26 September 2023] – Dongfeng Automobile Company Co., Ltd (DFAC), one of China’s leading manufacturers of medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles, has completed the initial commissioning of a SinterCast System 4000 process control system. The system has been installed at the new DFAC greenfield foundry located in the Automobile Industrial Park of Xiangyang City in Hubei, China. As a greenfield facility, the System 4000 has been installed during the construction phase and the final commissioning and operator training will take place during early-2024 when the foundry becomes operational. Following the signing of Installation Acceptance by DFAC, SEK 2.5 million will be recognised as installation revenue in the third quarter results. The balance of approximately SEK 0.2 million will be recognised in 2024 when the process engineering and training is completed.

Following the 2015 installation of a Mini-System 3000 at the Dongfeng Commercial Technology Centre for CGI process development and product development, the fully automated System 4000 installation at DFAC becomes the second SinterCast installation in the Dongfeng group. It also marks the sixteenth installation for SinterCast in China and the twenty-fifth installation in Asia.
