Nordnet reaches two million customers and celebrates with customer offers
"I feel both proud and humbled that two million Nordic individuals have chosen Nordnet as their platform for savings and investments. Nordnet was founded in 1996 and it took us 24 years to reach the first million customers. Over the past four years, we have doubled our customer base. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all two million customers for the trust they show us every day," says Lars-Åke Norling, CEO of Nordnet.
Nordnet has the most customers in the Finnish market, where the company has just reached 600,000 private savers, which corresponds to 30% of the customer base. The Danish and Swedish operations have nearly 500,000 customers each, corresponding to 24% per market. In Norway, Nordnet has just over 430,000 customers. The average capital among savers at Nordnet amounts to SEK 487,000 and the average age is 40 years.
"Two million customers is an important milestone, but we have much more to do in the Nordic savings market. We still have a large potential, and we constantly make inroads into new segments. Last fall, we launched Finland's most flexible and affordable endowment wrapper, and by the end of the year we will seriously start competing in the Danish pension market with our new livrente product. In Sweden and Norway, we plan to, among other things, launch new features for our private banking customers," says Lars-Åke Norling, CEO of Nordnet.
The milestone of two million customers will be celebrated with offers for both existing and new customers. During the period 22-23 August, all customers will be able to trade commission-free in the two most popular stocks from the eight markets where Nordnet offers electronic trading, a total of 16 stocks. Until 30 September, new customers will receive a starting bonus of SEK 200 in the Nordnet One Balanced fund.
