Nordic Iron Ore recruits Chief Geologist

Nordic Iron Ore AB has appointed Johan Högnäs as Chief Geologist, Johan has extensive experience as a geologist and leader in the mining industry. He comes from the role of Exploration Manager at Kaunis Iron AB, and has also previously held a number of important roles at Boliden in Garpenberg and Northland Resources. The position of Chief Geologist reports to the Director of Market & Business Development and entails having overall responsibility for all of the Company's geological activities, such as exploration drilling, mining geology, exploration and mineral resource estimates. Johan will work closely with the Company's mining and concentrator departments.

Johan Högnäs will take up the position as Chief Geologist at Nordic Iron Ore on January 13, 2025.

Nordic Iron Ore AB is a mining company with the goal of resuming and developing iron ore mining in the Ludvika area. The company has all the necessary permits in place for the initial project at Blötberget and will be able to produce an ultra high-grade iron ore concentrate suitable for the production of fossil-free steel. The company is also evaluating the possibility of extracting a bi-product concentrate with high levels of phosphorus and rare earth elements.
