The customer produces packaging based on mechanical recycling and uses Nexam Chemical's additives to enhance the properties of recycled plastic. By combining mechanical recycling with the right additives, it becomes possible to increase the use of recycled material - even when feed stock quality is lower - while maintaining the performance of the final product.

Based on these recent developments, we forecast sales in this segment to be higher in Q2 than in previous quarters. While there is still a relatively modest share of our total business, we are expecting to see quite substantial growth rates, both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter, going forward. In parallel, several other customer projects are progressing through evaluation and approval processes, moving steadily toward serial production. New additive generations are also under development to meet further challenges in the recycling value chain.
