With the help of this new additive combination, it is possible to further improve the production of high-value core materials for, for example, wind turbine blades. The patent concerns melt modification of polyesters using reactive additives. In addition to that, there is an expectation that the patent can be useful both in the fiber area, where clothing fibers are often made of polyester, and general recycling of polyesters.

"This patent will be able to further improve our position in the PET foam market. The toolbox of additives that we can offer our customers is becoming larger and more competitive.
