Om Road Status Information
Road Status Information (RSI) is a Software-as-a-Service application for winter road maintenance that collects data from a variety of sources for safer winter road decisions. The data provided in RSI is created by using a combination of rule-based algorithms, machine learning, and analysis of vast amounts of real-world road and environmental data. RSI then processes this data with advanced climate models to provide detailed forecasts for roads, cycle paths and pedestrian paths. The high-resolution forecasts are used by transport authorities, winter road contractors and municipalities to make critical decisions about when, where and how measures for snow removal and de-icing should be implemented. Klimator's forecasts facilitate decision-making, planning and follow-up of measures and help to use resources more efficiently and reduce the climate footprint.
About Klimator's IoT-based road weather stations
Klimator's road weather stations provide real-time information on how the weather affects local road conditions. This data empowers operators to make informed decisions about appropriate actions. The data is easily accessible from Klimator's Road Status Information (RSI) platform. The data comes in the form of an API and can thus be integrated into other systems for weather and road weather monitoring or forecasting if needed.
