Klimator

During 2022, Klimator's technology, AHEAD, has been evaluated in connection with the vehicle manufacturer's development of advanced driver support systems and autonomous systems. As the project has now come to an end, the Japanese vehicle manufacturer has chosen to continue development with Klimator in a project that extends over 2023. The aim is to integrate the technology into test vehicles and adapt Klimator's technology to the needs of a state-of-the-art and sophisticated motion control and driver support functions. Through close collaboration, the goal is to develop vehicle functions well adapted to information about road weather.

About AHEAD

AHEAD is a technology that analyzes the road surface and friction ahead of a vehicle, in real-time. The technology is the result of over ten years of research and development within road surface classification. AHEAD provides vehicle systems with information on prevailing road surface conditions, which increases the functionality, operability, and use of advanced driver support systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) technologies.
