KDventures’ portfolio company AnaCardio’s clinical study of drug candidate AC01 published in The Lancet

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 25, 2026. KDventures AB (Nasdaq Stockholm: KDV) today announces that its portfolio company AnaCardio’s phase 1b/2a study of the drug candidate AC01 has been published in The Lancet, one of the world’s most prestigious medical journals. The results from the study show a favourable safety profile and signs of rapid, sustained effects on cardiac function and structure in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

AnaCardio’s drug candidate AC01 is being developed to restore the heart’s normal muscle function and blood circulation in a new and safer way. The company’s goal is to develop an orally available drug that, unlike current treatments for heart failure, can address the underlying cause of the disease. A phase 2b study of AC01 in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is expected to begin later in 2026.

“The publication AnaCardio’s study results in The Lancet is an exceptional validation of AC01’s potential and an important milestone for our portfolio company. The combination of clear efficacy signals and the favorable safety profile shows that the drug candidate is well positioned to become a breakthrough for the millions of patients living with heart failure,” says Viktor Drvota, CEO of KDventures.
