The Land and Environmental Court announces date for main hearing

The Land and Environmental Court (MMD) at Umeå district court has today called for a main hearing regarding Copperstone's application for an environmental permit for the planned mining operations at the Viscaria copper mine. The main hearing is expected to start on January 30, 2024, and last until February 21, 2024, at the latest.

"We are very happy about this announcement, which is completely in line with our communicated timetable. When the court has ruled on the case, which usually happens within two months, we will be able to increase the pace of our work to reopen Viscaria,” said Jörgen Olsson, CEO of Copperstone.
