The Administrative Court rejects the healthcare providers' appeal to remove the requirement for Millennium in primary care in VGR
The Administrative Court has today rejected the appeal filed by several private care providers in primary care to remove the requirement for Millennium in primary care.
The Administrative Court writes regarding the principle of proportionality:
No evidence has been presented to support that the examples of procedure proposed by the Companies are less intrusive than the introduction of the requirement. The fact that the proposed solutions on the part of the Companies offer an equivalent alternative to the requirement does not lead to the conclusion that the requirement is not necessary to achieve the intended purpose.
Comment from Carasent CEO, Daniel Öhman:
"My impression now is that most private care providers in primary care in VGR believe that they will avoid Millennium, but I would still be surprised if they do not appeal. The Administrative Court does not question that it is possible to achieve VGR's goal without forcing everyone into the same system, but it says that it has not been proven that integration with existing systems is less intrusive than forcing everyone into Millennium. This should be quite obvious and easy to show in the next instance."
