Beijer Alma’s subsidiary Lesjöfors acquires Lacroix
Today, July 26th, 2024, Lesjöfors has signed an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Ets Lacroix SAS, a French spring manufacturer supplying mainly compression springs to customers in hydraulics and general industry.
Lacroix is a French industrial spring manufacturer with high technology specialization focusing on small to medium-sized batches. The company mainly supplies compression springs to customers in hydraulics and general industry in France and has a broad customer base. The company is well known for being a reliable supplier with strong industry know-how and quality. Lacroix has annual revenue of approximately EUR 6.5 million with good profitability and has 46 employees at its factory in Meung-sur-Loire in central France.
Lesjöfors’s CEO, Ola Tengroth, comments on the transaction: “Lacroix is a well-managed company with a strong business culture and good strategic fit with Lesjöfors. The company has a diversified customer base and has established a presence in attractive niches such as the medical and aerospace sectors. Through this acquisition, we have established our first factory in France, one of Europe’s largest spring markets, with the potential to cross-sell our existing product portfolio. I see great potential to continue developing the company as part of the Lesjöfors Group.”
Lacroix’s CEO, Yohan Dutheil, will continue in his operational role after the acquisition. He also comments on the transaction: “We are happy that Lacroix will be a part of the Lesjöfors Group from now on. Together with my team, we have successfully developed Lacroix and now see excellent potential in becoming a part of a global group. Our talented employees have always been an important factor in our success, and as a team we are now excited for the next step in the company’s history.”
Through the transaction, Lesjöfors has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Ets Lacroix SAS with closing taking place in the second half of 2024. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
