Beijer Alma’s subsidiary Beijer Tech acquires Brissmans Brandredskap AB
Beijer Tech signed an agreement today, November 7, 2024, to acquire 100 percent of the shares in Brissmans Brandredskap AB, a Swedish supplier and retailer of personal protective equipment and firefighting equipment in Sweden.
Brissmans is an end-to-end supplier of personal protective equipment and firefighting equipment to municipalities, authorities and companies in Sweden. The company has a rich history with a strong brand and a high level of expertise in its field. Brissmans is headquartered in Halmstad and has four employees. Brissmans has annual revenue of approximately SEK 30 million, with favorable profitability.
The acquisition is in line with Beijer Alma’s model for value-adding acquisitions and Beijer Tech’s strategy of acquiring profitable companies in attractive niches with good growth potential and high value-add.
Beijer Tech’s President, Staffan Johansson, commented on the transaction: “Brissmans is a reputable, well-managed company that has established a strong position in its niche as a retailer of firefighting equipment. In the long term, the company will be an excellent complement to Svebab (Svenska Brandslangsfabriken) and create a strong platform in the area, with a broader product portfolio of firefighting equipment. I look forward to seeing what the two companies can accomplish together.”
Former co-owner and CEO, Anders Bergman, also commented on the transaction: “We are thankful and proud that this fantastic company, which has been in our family’s possession since it was founded in the 1920s, will now receive a new, long-term owner in Beijer Tech. This will be a new chapter in our history and we are convinced that it will benefit Brissmans, our customers and our partners in the long term.”
Through the transaction, Beijer Tech will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Brissmans Brandredskap AB with closing taking place today. The company will be part of Beijer Tech’s Fluid Technology business area. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
