AAC Clyde Space expands global capacity to accelerate its next phase of growth
AAC Clyde Space is investing in the capacity, capabilities and global footprint needed to capture rising demand for space-based intelligence and deliver its next phase of growth. The expansion will strengthen the Group's ability to design, build and operate satellite missions at scale, bringing more of its end-to-end offering together across key markets. At the centre of the investment is a new purpose-built cleanroom and office facility in Glasgow, UK, alongside new offices in London, UK, expanded facilities in Gothenburg, Sweden, and recently upgraded facilities in Fairfax, USA.
By expanding capacity across its operations, AAC Clyde Space will be better positioned to meet growing global demand, bring advanced satellite capabilities to customers and scale delivery across the Group. The investment will support priority applications including maritime domain awareness and weather monitoring, while enabling major programmes such as INFLECION and EPS-Sterna to move forward.
The new Glasgow facility will create additional capacity for satellite production and integration, enabling AAC Clyde Space to scale the delivery of increasingly ambitious missions. The move is planned for early 2027. As the Group's main centre for satellite design, manufacture and integration, Glasgow will remain central to the company's growth. The investment also builds on AAC Clyde Space's pioneering role in the development of Scotland's small satellite industry.
In London, the main base for Data & Services, the growing team is moving to larger premises. In Gothenburg, AAC Omnisys is expanding its cleanroom capacity to support production of microwave instruments for Europe's next-generation EPS-Sterna weather satellites. In Fairfax, AAC SpaceQuest has expanded its facilities for component development and production to better serve customers in the growing US market.
Together, these investments strengthen AAC Clyde Space's ability to deliver complete space-based solutions-from satellite components and specialist payloads to satellite manufacturing, missions and data services from its own constellations. By bringing these capabilities together at greater scale, the Group is building a more integrated company equipped to turn space technology into faster, broader real-world impact.
"This has been a transformational year for AAC Clyde Space. Major programmes such as INFLECION and EPS-Sterna are moving into delivery, we are growing our own satellite constellation and we continue to see strong demand across satellite platforms, components and space-based data services. These are not separate developments; together, they are building a stronger and more complete space company. Our investments in Glasgow, Gothenburg, Fairfax and London give us the capacity and reach to turn that momentum into long-term growth and deliver even greater value from space for customers around the world," says Luis Gomes, CEO of AAC Clyde Space.
