Skanska signs University contract in Kentucky for USD 72M, about SEK 780M, for campus addition in Highland Heights

The project includes a 79,925-square foot (7,400-square meter) addition to the existing Dorothy Westerman Herrmann Science Center, aimed at unifying various academic programs into a centralized STEM facility. This new addition will accommodate departments such as Biological Sciences, Physics, Geology & Engineering Technology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, and Engineering Technology. Additionally, the project includes minor renovations to the current science center.

Site preparations began in October 2024 to allow for a Q1 2025 start. The project is expected to reach completion in August of 2027.
