The report, which includes financial statements and an overall summary of the year, describes our strong performance in 2022 in the face of economic and geopolitical turmoil. Our Construction business in particular delivered on strategy throughout the year, and ended with a record order backlog.

The sustainability report provides an update on progress towards achieving our climate targets as well as information on our work with sustainability. Our combined scope 1 and 2 emissions both declined during the year, and are now 55 percent below the baseline year of 2015. We remain committed to our target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2045, both in our own operations and in our value chain.

A timeline of historical milestones marks our 135th anniversary in 2022, while a series of cases throughout the report highlight how our knowledge and foresight are shaping the way people live, work and connect.

A new section for the 2022 Annual and Sustainability Report discusses how Skanska’s business model, structure, financial position and strategy empower us to create long-term value for shareholders and society.
