The detention building will have seven floors with a gross area of approximately 12,400 square meters. It is being built near the police station and will, in addition to cells for inmates, contain activity rooms, health care, a commercial kitchen, offices and a garage.
Construction works will begin in October this year and the project should be completed in September 2027.
