Resolutions by the Extraordinary General Meeting in SAS AB
The Extraordinary General Meeting in SAS AB (“SAS”) held on January 10, 2024 resolved, in accordance with the Board’s proposals, to approve that SAS enter into unilateral commitments towards the Kingdom of Denmark and the Kingdom of Sweden, respectively, to introduce a so-called “step-up mechanism” in relation to the states’ 2020 share investments in SAS.
The introduction of the step-up mechanism is a condition for the European Commission’s renewed approval of the State aid provided by the states as part of the 2020 recapitalization of SAS, as further described in the press release announced by SAS on November 29, 2023.
In accordance with the approval of the General Meeting, SAS intends to enter into the commitments on January 11, 2024.
