SBB signs 15-year lease agreement with the City of Stockholm
Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (SBB) has signed a 15-year lease agreement with the City of Stockholm for the Kulltorp 3 property in Södermalm, Stockholm, where the municipality has been providing healthcare and social care services for more than 25 years.
The project involves the renovation of both apartments and common areas in the property, with a total floor area of approximately 6,000 square meters. The outdoor environment in front of the building will be refurbished and adapted to better support the needs of the business, and a roof terrace will be created to offer residents additional access to outdoor space.
"We are delighted to be able to create even better environments for our elderly residents at Kulltorp nursing and care home. With a new roof terrace and a refurbished front, it will be easier to enjoy outdoor activities and socializing. The renovation contributes to a safe and pleasant everyday life – for residents, relatives, and employees alike." – City District Department of Södermalm.
During the planning phase of the project, a thorough inventory of the premises was carried out with the aim of reusing existing installations and materials as much as possible. Upon completion, the property will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver i Drift (Silver in Operation) and a new energy declaration will be produced.
“We are proud to deepen our long-term collaboration with the City of Stockholm through this 15-year agreement. By combining sustainable solutions with recycling and environmental certification, we are creating safe and functional premises that support the business and the people who live, visit, and work in the property,” says Alexander Hedin, Regional Manager, SBB Stockholm.
