Stockholm, 18 August 2023 | Safello, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in the Nordics, has been chosen by The Swedish Police Authority as the exclusive supplier of cryptocurrency services to ensure the needs of the Swedish Police, the Swedish Customs Office and the Swedish Economic Crime Authority on a national basis. 

In an official press release (22nd of June, 2023) Safello announced that the Swedish Police Authority had invited Safello to participate in the procurement of cryptocurrency exchange, carried out as a competitive dialogue procedure in accordance with the Swedish Public Procurement Act (Lagen om offentlig upphandling,“LOU”).  

The Swedish Police Authority has chosen Safello as the exclusive supplier in the procurement and will subsequently enter into a framework agreement with Safello. The framework agreement will cater to the needs of the Swedish Police Authority, the Swedish Customs Office and the Swedish Economic Crime Authority on a national basis, with a term of maximum 4 years. The aggregated number of transactions is estimated to an amount of 150 transactions, with a maximum cap of 600 transactions, per year. However, no volume undertakings have been made from the authorities.
