Stockholm 1 February 2024 | Safello, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in the Nordics, has today terminated its business relationship with Handelsbanken and migrated all banking services and assignments to its new Swedish partner bank.

Safello has completed an extensive migration from Handelsbanken following the bank's termination of Safello's banking services. Safello's new bank is a Swedish bank authorized by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

The company's priority has been to carry out a seamless transition between the banks to avoid disruptions in Safello's trading system, customer experience, and payment flows. The company can now announce that the bank migration has been successfully completed.

It was on June 29, 2023, that Safello announced that Handelsbanken had chosen to terminate its business relationship with Safello, which meant that the bank would no longer provide bank accounts and related banking services to the company. The reason for the termination was stated as inadequate customer knowledge.
