Rejlers

The consortium behind the project, SRV and Trevian Asset Management’s Raksila 2.0 consortium, has selected Rejlers as its engineering partner. The arena represents a significant investment for the City of Oulu and is expected to strengthen the region’s position as a hub for international sports, cultural and business events, attracting visitors from across Finland as well as neighbouring Sweden and Norway.

The project is currently in a two-year development phase. The planned complex will comprise approximately 45,000 square metres of gross floor area. As a technically demanding project, it requires advanced and integrated engineering solutions to ensure efficient operations for a wide range of stakeholders.

Rejlers’ scope includes the design of HVAC, energy systems, electrical systems, sprinkler systems, audiovisual solutions, telecommunications, security and lighting. The project targets high environmental performance, with the ambition to achieve LEED Platinum certification and full alignment with EU Taxonomy criteria.

Upon completion, the Oulu Experience Arena will host sports events, concerts, exhibitions and conferences. The arena is expected to attract approximately 2.1 million visitors annually.

Construction is currently planned to begin in 2028, with completion targeted for 2030.
