Rejlers paves the way for a more modern and efficient railway infrastructure

Rejlers has won several major assignments, ranging from northern to southern Sweden, with the aim of optimising and modernising the country's railway infrastructure. The projects have a common focus: to meet the growing need for increased capacity, efficiency and reliability in both regional and national rail traffic.

Stavre Operating Site and the Mid-Nordic Corridor: In Jämtland County, along the Mid Line, Rejlers is developing a solution to increase capacity and streamline traffic planning by expanding concurrency at the Stavre Operating Facility. The project, co-funded by the EU, helps to strengthen the inland connection to the coast and to cope with the increasing pressure from tourism in the region.

Track connections in Lockarp and the Western Main Line: In southern Sweden, Rejlers is working on design and construction management to renew and adapt the power supply at the new converter station in Lockarp, which will strengthen operational reliability in the area. At the same time, capacity-enhancing measures are being implemented on the Western Main Line within Stockholm's commuter train area, which improves maintenance and capacity.

The Kardon Line and the auxiliary power grid: In connection with the establishment of Norrköping's new freight yard and the electrification of the Kardon Line, Rejlers is ensuring that the power system in the area is modernised and meets today's requirements. The upgrade of the auxiliary power grid provides increased capacity and reliability for the new infrastructure.

The Opto 2.0 project: As part of the ongoing digitalisation of the railway network, Rejlers has been commissioned to lead the design for the Opto 2.0 project, which includes the modernisation and expansion of fibre optics and communication technology along the Ockelbo-Gävle-Falun-Borlänge route. The project will strengthen the technical infrastructure to meet future system requirements.

“We are proud to have been entrusted by the Swedish Transport Administration to lead and implement these important projects. Our expertise contributes to increasing capacity and safety in the railway network and at the same time strengthens our position as a leading player in infrastructure development in Sweden,” says Anel Bajramovic, Business Area Manager Railway at Rejlers.
