Kajave, part of the Loiste group, is investing approximately €45 million during the contract period to improve supply reliability and simplify customer connections. The experience gained from the successful transition to the alliance model in the eastern network area in 2023, which made Kajave a pioneer among Finnish electricity companies, forms the foundation for the new project and strengthens the conditions for an efficient and reliable execution.

"The alliance model has proven successful in other infrastructure projects, and we wanted to apply these learnings to electricity network development,” says Timo Jutila, CEO of Kajave Oy.

Rejlers will lead the network design, supporting a long-term approach.

The contract includes power grid investments, fault management, maintenance, and small-scale works such as meter installation and customer service fieldwork across Kajave’s western network area, including Kajaani, Paltamo, Puolanka, Pyhäntä, Siikalatva, Hyrynsalmi, Ristijärvi, and Vaala.
