Q-linea participates in first public tender in Belgium

Q-linea AB (publ) (OMX: QLINEA) today announces that the company has participated in a public tender in Belgium with the ASTar® Instrument and Consumables through its Distribution Partner Biomedical Diagnostics.

The tender at Cliniques Universitaires St. Luc is a result of a comparative study with 3 different rapid AST systems enrolling 200 patients which provided evidence of robust performance and a significantly shorter time to optimal therapy for patients with bloodstream infections.

“We are excited to participate in this tender at Cliniques Universitaires St. Luc through our partner Biomedical Diagnostics. This is the first project we have seen in Belgium with a specific focus on rapid AST solutions directly from positive blood culture bottles and the first opportunity to establish ASTar as a reference system in the Region” said Franco Pellegrini, Sales Director Southern Europe at Q-linea.
