ProstaLund has signed an agreement with Carlshamns Specialistklinik AB in Blekinge. The agreement means that ProstaLund installs a CoreTherm® machine with accessories at the clinic. The first CoreTherm® treatments were already performed last Thursday under the supervision of Dr. Sonny Schelin.

Carlshamns Specialistklinik has obtained an agreement with Region Blekinge in urology, which includes CoreTherm® treatment of benign prostate enlargement. The agreement is the third agreement that ProstaLund has concluded within a week with various private clinics.

In the fall of 2022, Region Blekinge procured, among other things, TUMT treatments - we think this may be due to a long-term courting of politicians and officials in the region about the long waiting times and how CoreTherm, a fast and cost-effective, can contribute to the region's treatment of benign prostate enlargement. Carlshamns Specialistklinik AB won the tender in December 2022.

ProstaLund's CEO Johan Wennerholm: "That another private clinic will perform CoreTherm® treatments in southern Sweden is very welcome. The fact that there are now a handful of private clinics that have agreements with the regions, makes a big difference for all the patients in Sweden who are waiting for a BPE treatment, because the waiting times can be shortened, and the patients have more options. That is good news.”
