PolarCool

The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ.) has recently marked a significant milestone by successfully extending its partnership with the Football Association of Wales. During the past year, the Welsh National Football teams have embraced the integration of the PolarCap® System into their concussion management protocols, bringing positive feedback.

PolarCool develops and markets the product PolarCap®, which alleviates the effects of concussion. The primary users of PolarCap® include sports clubs, organizations, and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion.

The Football Association of Wales became the first international team to introduce the PolarCap® System to treat concussed players, with the Welsh Men's National Team including PolarCap® in their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign, underlining their overall commitment to player safety. In addition, the Welsh Women's National Team has also had access to the PolarCap® System during the current year.

PolarCool's CEO Erik Andersson comments;

The extension with FAW brings strategic value, even if the financial significance of individual agreements is limited.
