The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ) have signed an agreement with the Swiss Handball Association. The agreement implements that PolarCap® System will be provided to the Swiss Men's National Handball Team throughout their upcoming 2024 European Handball Championships in Germany.

PolarCool develops the product PolarCap®, which alleviates the effects of concussions. The primary customers are sports clubs and facilities in ice hockey, rugby, football and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion.

PolarCool has recently achieved strong momentum by finalizing agreements in both rugby and ice hockey. Additionally, the company aims to strategically expand its reach into the progressive market of Handball, and the collaboration with the Swiss Handball Association marks another significant step forward within the market segment. The initial phase of this collaboration involves the implementation of PolarCap® during the men's 2024 European Championship campaign.

-The dialogue with the Swiss Handball Association has been very positive. The medical doctor for the men's national handball team was clear early on that he wanted to provide PolarCap®. As head injuries in handball are known, our aim is that more teams and leagues will acknowledge PolarCap® as a treatment for concussion and its shown positive effects.
