PolarCool

The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ) has signed an agreement with Forshaga IF for the use of PolarCap®. The third-tier Swedish ice hockey team will become the third team in HockeyEttan to provide the PolarCap® System.

PolarCool develops the product PolarCap® System, which alleviates the effects of concussions. The primary customers are sports clubs and facilities in ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion.

PolarCool has achieved significant milestones in the integration of the PolarCap® System within European ice hockey, in particular Swedish ice hockey where the company has secured agreements across the SHL, HockeyAllsvenskan, and HockeyEttan. Forshaga IF, will incorporate PolarCap® into its concussion management protocols during an initial evaluation period, with the possibility of extending the collaboration into a comprehensive two-year commercial agreement. This collaboration underscores PolarCool's commitment to advancing player welfare and elevating the standards of concussion care at all levels within ice hockey.

HockeyEttan is the third tier of Swedish ice hockey and consists of a total of 40 teams. The agreement with Forshaga IF brings strategic value, even if the financial significance of individual agreements is limited.
