The project entails building a new swimming pool facility, Näckenbadet, doing the associated groundwork and tearing down the existing swimming pool facility. It will be built on two floors and contain a 25 meter pool with six swimming lanes, a training pool with a height adjustable bottom and personnel space.

The new Näckenbadet will also provide all our swimming clubs with a place to exercise and do sports," says Mats Gerdau, Chairman of the Municipal Board.

The project is a traditional contract with some turnkey contract parts. The building will correspond to the level of Miljöbyggnad Silver. Construction will start in February 2023 and occupation is planned for 2025.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2023.
