The project comprises new construction of a part time fire station for the member municipalities Västerås, Hallstahammar, Surahammar, Arboga, Kungsör and Köping.

The building will contain classrooms, overnight accommodations, workshops and a distribution central. The building will also function as a crisis center. The new part time fire station will be strategically located at Eriksberg outside Hallstahammar close to E18 which will put it in the middle of the geographic area it will serve.

We feel we're well equipped for this project and will take advantage of all the experience we have from building other fire stations in the region," says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a traditional contract in partnering. Construction will begin in November 2023 and the project is expected to be completed in February 2025.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2023.
