In December 2021 Ovzon signed a contract with the company's previous Italian distributor for the same end-customer, the Italian Fire and Rescue Services. As previously communicated, this distributor has had financial difficulties during 2022, resulting in bad debt provisions for Ovzon.

Together with Vodafone we will ensure that our end-customer the Italian Fire and Rescue Services will use our reliable, resilient, and mobile solution for their critical mission. Even though this renewal is reduced in scope, we believe our prospects of increasing this service and deliveries to Italian authorities will become more progressive and solid with this partnership. Our SATCOM-as-a-Services has been instrumental in supporting disaster recovery operations for the Italian Fire and Rescue Services the past year," says Ovzon CEO Per Norén.

Ovzon's renewed SATCOM-as-a-Service solution to the Italian Fire and Rescue Services is adjusted to meet the customer's specific needs but can easily be scaled up. The service delivery cost is lower but provides the premium quality of mobile satellite communication service that Ovzon has become known for.
