Nordisk Bergteknik
Nordisk Bergteknik has been commissioned to reinforce the foundation of Gävle Theatre.
- With Nordisk Bergteknik’s extensive experience and specialized expertise in advanced foundation reinforcement, we will carry out this project in close collaboration across our various units within the Group. Our focus is on preserving the building’s historical and cultural significance while also contributing to long-term sustainability by restoring and strengthening old buildings as an option for demolishing and rebuilding, says Andreas Christoffersson, President and CEO of Nordisk Bergteknik.
The project has been commissioned by Gävle Fastigheter and is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025. The work is expected to last 10 months and must be carried out with precision and great care to protect the building's sensitive structure. Gävle Theatre, inaugurated in 1878, is known for its unique neo-baroque architecture and is a central part of the city's cultural life. With this effort, it is ensured that the theatre continues to be an important performing arts venue for future generations.
