The Administrative Court rejects the appeal of the extension of the exploration permits Vintjärn and Kölen no. 6
The Administrative Court in Luleå has today issued a verdict in the case, where Big Rock Mineral AB, in consultation with Nidhogg Resources Holding AB (publ) (the "Company" or "Nidhogg"), appealed the Mining Inspectorate's decision to reject the application for extension of the exploration permits Kölen no. 6 and Vintjärn. The court agrees with the Mining Inspectorate and rejects the Company's appeal.
Nidhogg will analyze the judgment and decide whether or not to appeal the decision.
It is the Company's assessment that the Administrative Court's ruling does not affect the ongoing process of environmental impact assessment (EIA) regarding planned test mining in the Vintjärn mine. The EIA process is handled by the County Administrative Board of Dalarna County and thus falls outside the review of the Mining Inspectorate and the court.
In addition, the Company continues with ongoing and planned natural resource inventories and exploration within the other exploration permits that the Company holds in the Vintjärn-Kölen area.
