What’s new

• Contribution transcoding: Support for codec and resolution conversion, bitrate control (CBR/VBR), and value-added services such as audio shuffling and simple graphical overlays.
• Edge-to-Edge streaming: Point-to-point connectivity between Edge Connect nodes for flexible, resilient connectivity between remote venues and production hubs.
• Expanded protocol and format support: Zixi ZEC support on Edge Connect, enhanced SRT performance, and expanded TR-07 JPEG-XS handling.
• Platform enhancements: Streamlined billing, improved load balancing, and simplified dashboards for operational efficiency.

These features directly address the growing demand for flexible, IP-native contribution and production models. Broadcasters and production companies are increasingly moving away from expensive satellite services, seeking flexible IP and cloud-based solutions to contribute feeds from any geographical location. Nimbra Edge provides the solutions to manage numerous incoming feeds, ensuring signal integrity and security over any network, and enables seamless collaboration between remote teams.
