Net Insight Powers Cloud-connected Live Production workflow with Nimbra 520
Stockholm, Sweden – A multinational technology company is deploying a Nimbra Edge contribution network for remote production, using Nimbra 520 together with Nimbra Edge to support live internal events, panel discussions and product launches.
The new workflow enables the company to contribute live events from on-premise locations into a cloud production environment for onward distribution to corporate locations worldwide. The deployment combines edge processing with cloud-based orchestration, giving the customer a more scalable and flexible live production model than its previous system could support.
At each production site, the Nimbra 520 performs on-premise media processing, supporting up to 8 x FHD HEVC 4:2:2 compression. The live feeds are then contributed through Nimbra Edge, hosted in the cloud, enabling flexible routing, centralized control and reliable delivery into the company’s cloud production environment. The smaller initial order was received and delivered in Q2, 2026.
For the customer, the solution provides a more efficient way to scale internal live production across regions, venues and event formats. By combining high-density edge processing with cloud-based contribution, the company can support more events and locations while reducing complexity in day-to-day operations.
Nimbra 520 is designed for predictable live media execution across managed and unmanaged networks. With multi-channel HEVC and AVC processing, professional broadcast quality, 10-bit video support and low-latency operation, it enables customers to scale contribution and distribution capacity while improving bandwidth efficiency. Combined with Nimbra Edge, it supports centralized orchestration, flexible cloud workflows and a simplified per-stream operating model.
“This deployment is a strong example of how live production is expanding beyond traditional broadcast environments,” says Andreas Eriksson, CEO of Net Insight. “By pairing Nimbra 520 with Nimbra Edge, we help customers move live media from the edge into the cloud with the predictability, scalability and operational control needed for high-value internal productions. It reflects our focus on innovation, collaboration and trust in live media workflows.”
The deployment also highlights the growing need for enterprise-grade live media infrastructure as global companies produce more high-quality internal and external events. With Nimbra 520 and Nimbra Edge, Net Insight enables organizations to build flexible, cloud-connected workflows that can scale with production needs while maintaining the reliability expected from professional live media operations.
