The refurbishment and remodeling are part of a larger upgrade plan for the Græse Bakkeby area that has been in progress for about ten years. The portfolio consists of row houses and one- to three-story apartment blocks, built in the 1980s.

NCC’s assignment includes the renovation of facades and roofs, replacing insulation and ventilation, and upgrading the outdoor environment in the area. 60 of the residential units will also be adapted for accessibility.

“NCC is currently renovating 2,700 residential units across Denmark. Major and extensive refurbishment projects like this one in Frederikssund constitute one of our core competencies. Success factors comprise good planning, clear project management, and using a team with solid experience from similar projects,” says Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Head of NCC Building Nordics. 

Work will commence at the end of 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2027.

The assignment, valued at approximately SEK 320 million, will be registered in the NCC Building Nordics business area in the fourth quarter of 2024.
