NCC has extensive experience of completing large high-security projects, which will be invaluable for this important project,” says Tobias Holmqvist, Division Manager, NCC. 

NCC’s assignment involves the new construction of a correctional facility with space for 800 inmates and staffed by 600 employees. With a total building area of approximately 110,000 square meters, the facility will house a remand prison, a correctional institution, and premises for the national transport unit.

The project is being implemented as a turnkey contract in partnering form, and in the first phase, NCC and Specialfastigheter will jointly plan and design the project. This work will start immediately. If the project proceeds according to plan, the parties will sign a construction contract.

NCC has extensive experience of completing high-security projects and has a team of experts that is dedicated to such assignments. For these projects, particularly high requirements are imposed on advanced security solutions, technical expertise, special logistics and secure information management throughout all phases of the project.
