MSAB and Child Rescue Coalition to Combat Online Child Sexual Abuse

As part of this collaboration, MSAB contributes digital forensic capabilities through its mobile extraction and analysis tools, as well as training and operational guidance to law enforcement agencies globally. The ability to acquire and process mobile device data is a critical component of many investigations involving online child exploitation. With mobile phones often serving as key evidence sources, MSAB’s technology enables examiners to extract, analyze and report on relevant data in a secure, efficient and legally compliant manner.

"We are supporting Operation Artemis because it reflects the principles that guide our work, developing technology that enables law enforcement to act effectively, uphold integrity, and achieve meaningful results,” says Peter Gille, CEO of MSAB. “Partnering with Child Rescue Coalition in this effort allows us to contribute to investigations that prioritize victims and strengthen global responses to online child exploitation.”

The long-term objective of the operation is to elevate the visibility of known survivors within investigative priorities, enabling agencies to take action with both technical evidence and victim context. This approach not only strengthens prosecutorial outcomes but also ensures that survivors are no longer anonymous within the justice process.

Since its launch one year ago, Operation Artemis is now active on every continent, with hundreds of cases under investigation across Africa, Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, and Asia. The initiative has supported the coordination of targeted multinational operations, led to multiple arrests, and most significantly - contributed to the rescue of children from ongoing sexual abuse.

“Combining CRC’s Artemis data with MSAB’s forensic tools provides investigators with a clearer path to identifying both victims and offenders,” says Greg Schiller, CEO of Child Rescue Coalition. “This collaboration enhances law enforcement’s ability to build strong cases and prevent further harm.”

The partnership is based on a shared objective to provide investigative teams with the tools and support required to address complex digital crime, while ensuring that cases involving identified victims remain a key area of focus.
