IAR proposes Sofia Persson Björk as new board member
Stockholm, Sweden; December 12, 2024 — The Nomination Committee of I.A.R. Systems Group AB proposes the election of Sofia Persson Björk as a new member of the Board of Directors at the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
Following Cecilia Wachtmeister’s appointment as CEO earlier this year, the Nomination Committee initiated the search for an equally skilled board member, preferably with expertise in processes and productivity within software development for embedded systems, including a solid understanding of AI and machine learning. The Committee is now pleased to propose Sofia Persson Björk as its nominee.
Sofia brings extensive experience from senior roles in technology companies. With over 20 years of expertise in technology, product development, and leadership focused on embedded systems, industrial automation, and robust data communication, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lund University Faculty of Engineering. She currently serves as Head of Engineering at Megger and has been Chair of the Swedish Electronics Association since 2024.
“Sofia’s experience and competence complement the Board and management team well. Her deep knowledge of process development and optimization, particularly from a customer-oriented perspective within embedded systems, will provide valuable input to the company’s strategic development,” says Petter Mattsson Hamilton, Chair of the Nomination Committee.
The Nomination Committee's full proposal will be published well in advance of the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
