Diesel or LPG is used in conventional heating, resulting in high CO2 impact which in combination with manual fuel monitoring and handling of equipment often lead to uncontrolled consumption and high expenses.

Through the collaboration project, Fasadgruppen and El-Björn have tested and evaluated new solutions that decrease the energy consumption and climate impact when heating. The current solution uses pellet fuel in combination with automated heat production including temperature and fuel monitoring. As a result, in addition to a radical decrease in climate impact, production improvements are also achieved.

The solution will be tested in five reference projects through Fasadgruppen’s subsidiaries STARK Fasadrenovering, Karlssons Fasadrenovering, Frillesås Mur och Puts, Solid Fasad and Fasadteknik. In the projects, sensors will be installed to closely monitor the temperature inside the covered façade scaffold and how factors such as winds, façade direction and heat distribution impact the energy consumption. Based on collected data, the accuracy in the energy consumption calculations will increase further.

That we now also will be able to decrease the climate impact on the scaffolding when executing projects is an important step not only for us but the entire industry."
