The Indian patent office Intellectual Property India has reported that Episurf Medical (NASDAQ: EPIS B) has received another granted patent in India. The patent, entitled "Method and node for manufacturing a surgical kit for cartilage repair", covers a medical image segmentation process for 3D visualisation of anatomical joints.
"Image segmentation is a crucial part of the technology around Episurf Medical's individualised joint implants and surgical instruments. This patent is an appreciated addition to our operations in the Indian market", comments Katarina Flodström, COO, Episurf Medical.
